Music is Life
Drake also just came out with a new song called "Find Your Love". I'm really feeling this song. Like, I don't really know how to describe it but it's realllyy good in my opinion. Now, let's stay with Young Money shall we! My friend gave me the "Hottest N!gga Under the Sun" mixtape by Lil Wayne last week and there are 2 songs on there that are just amazing. Oh yeah, before I go any further FREE WEEZY! Ok so, these 2 songs are "New Orleans Maniac" and "Murder" with Trey Songz. Let's be honest, Weezy kills just about every track he gets on. Except for that Rebirth album...rock and rap can be mixed, just not like that weezy. Stick with the rap man haha. But yeah, he really just tears up those two tracks for real.
I know y'all wanna listen to all these songs!! So here are the links. Comment with your feelings on the songs!!

Duck Fuke
Another thing that REALLY irks me about Duke and especially Coach K is the reffing in the games. Think about it. Duke always seems to get their way at home, or whenever Coach K opens his mouth on the road. Whenever Coach K gets upset about some calls, he gets all up in the refs face and the calls start to go his way and ONLY his way. It's like they are scared of him. I mean, any other coach argues like that they get T'd up. Coach K does it, and it's like the refs apologizes and then makes up for it for the rest of the game.
Now that they won the tourney, we won't hear the end of it until the end of the tourney next year. Wonderful...and on top of this I have a flat tire hahaha. Today sucks

WBC
According to the WBC, they are coming here because they feel that Virginia Tech deserves what happened on April 16th, 2007 because we are all sinners. I have a couple of things to say about this. One question is why do they have to come here to tell us we deserve this? Couldn’t this be done in a statement or something? Nope. That isn’t good enough for them. They have to make a huge scene with signs that don’t even pertain to the incident. Whenever they protest their signs say things like God Hates Fags” or “God Hates America”. The majority of the time these signs are not relevant to the issue they are protesting in the first place.
If their signs are relevant, why protest? They way I see it is that this is all just one big stunt. No matter what the community’s reaction to their protest is, they will get on TV and get publicity. They go to places like Virginia Tech and the funerals of our fallen soldiers in order to fulfill their need to be seen and heard. That’s just a load of crap. If you are doing what you believe God wants you to do, why do you belittle the families of fallen soldiers? Why would you go to the place of the biggest mass murder in modern US history to tell the community deserves it? Does God believe that those 32 people deserved to be shot? Does the WBC even believe that those people deserved to be shot?
The whole reason that these people and people like them do what they do, in my opinion, is just to get recognized. I feel like the majority of the awful, mean, and hurtful things they say aren’t even sincere. I feel like they just say things in order to draw attention to themselves. Also, they say things that will cause a reaction from the people where they are protesting. Now, what happens when they cause a raucous? People get angry. What happens when people get angry? They fight. What happen when you fight the WBC? They sue you and make bunches of money.
Now, if we can’t fight them, what can we do? There are a lot of ways we can combat the WBC and their crazy antics peacefully. Some things that groups in the past have done include making signs, like the WBC’s, that are absolutely pointless. I have seen some pictures of people who made signs that say things such as “They guy behind me can’t see” and “This is a ridiculous hat” with an arrow pointing to the person’s hat. These signs took attention away from the WBC. Another idea was that you can set up a stand across the street from the WBC that is raising money for foundation that directly help the people that the WBC protests against such as soldiers.
So I guess what I’m saying is be nice to the WBC. Yes, they are a bunch of crazy people and they will say some things that will make us angry. But, ignore them. Wave and say hi. Donate money to charities to combat them or make a crazy sign. Just, don’t hit them. Don’t touch them. By doing so you will be unintentionally aiding their crazy antics. We just need to come together on April 9th as one community, like we have done so often, and show these WBC jerks what Hokie Spirit is!

The Math Empo
Another thing is the classes that are all online for math are so dumb. I really hate having to either listen to the teacher just rant for 30 minutes or having to just teach myself the material. Sure, we're in college now and should start becoming more independent but they have the teachers! Instead of recording themselves talking like the lady did for Linear Algebra she could stand in front of us and lecture so we could ask questions. Now, some of y'all might say "well, that's what the tutor room is for!" well that tutor room is ALL the way at the Empo! BAH! It's just really inconvenient sometimes is all I'm saying.
How do you feel about the Empo? Hate it? Love it?(if that's possible)
Leave a comment and tell me how you feel!

NCAA Tourney and NIT
Now on the other hand, with all the chaos that has broken out in this year's tournament we may have won it. I mean c'mon! Northern Iowa over Kansas?! Thank you for killing my bracket!! And Georgetown and Villanova...really guys? Really? Those 3 teams were in my elite eight...and 2 of them (Kansas and Villanova) were in my championship game. There is no way I am winning the pool at my mom's work now...worst 5 dollars I ever spent.
Now back to the NIT! Tonight's game should be a good one. I'm pretty excited for it. I'm getting to Cassell around 1:30 to start waiting in line..too stoked!! It's general admission so me and my friends are hoping to sit front and center and maybe get on TV! If you wanna look for me cut your TV on to ESPN at 7pm and look for the guy with the orange crazy wig and orange shutter shades haha. So watch the game tonight and GO HOKIES!

Creative Writing
Setting: Bowling Alley
Details: A stolen Item
Character: A woman trying to learn another language.
One night, in the Squires Breakzone, a group of foreign exchanged students rented all the lanes for the evening. They were bowling with other foreign exchanged students and their hosts for their time at Virginia Tech. Now, the majors of these students ranged from Engineering, to Mathematics, to Psychology. The on e major that surprised everybody was the one girl, Julia, whose plan was to major in English. She had come to Virginia Tech all the way from Thailand in order to major in English. This was surprising for multiple reasons: she had never really spoken English in her life and the English she did speak was extremely broken, Virginia Tech is not one of the leaders in the English field like they are in the Engineering field, and lastly, she had no idea what a Hokie was.
As the night went on everybody was having a great time. There was bowling, music, food, pool, and just overall fun activities. Unfortunately, the night took a turn for the worst. Julia went to the restroom. When she came back, she realized that her cell phone, cash, and passport had been stolen out of her purse. Now, this was a serious problem. Since she had just gotten to the States from Thailand, those were the only things she had. Without those, it would be difficult to live in the States.
Luckily for her, the doors had been locked from the outside because they didn’t want anybody to wonder off. After a bit of searching and interrogating it was determined that one of her best friends had taken her items. It was meant only to be a practical joke but unfortunately got blown out of proportion.

Hokie Basketball
Now, I did wear UNC Blue to the UNC v. Tech game (don't hate, I still have plenty of Hokie Pride, trust me). When I went to the game I realized that it wasn't just the football games that have a great atmosphere, but the basketball games as well. When the team is introduced the place is rockin'. Then Enter Sandman gets played and the place goes nuts. People are jumping up and down and getting psyched for the game that is about to start. The sense of unity and community that that song brings to this campus and to Hokie Nation is just unreal.
Now, I went to the Clemson game the following Sunday. I was one of those fools that you may have seen waiting in the MASSIVE line on Washington Street. My friends and I waited in line for over an hour to get into that game; it was well worth it. This time I was cheering for the Hokies, WOO! The team I was cheering for made a bi difference in the atmosphere to me. Last time it felt as if I was all alone in the crowd; this time I felt connected. I realize now why Virginia Tech is one of the hardest places to play in the country . Those in the maroon and orange are connected, those in the visitor colors are stranded. This is a very unique this in college sports. Make sure you get out to some tech sporting events in your lifetime!!!

WHO DAT!
Now, with the way the game started it looked like all of the sports anchors and fans were right, the Colts were gonna blow the Saints right out of the water. The Colts went out to an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Peyton was playing just how everybody expected him to. He was moving the ball down the field no problem. He couldn't be stopped...until the second quarter. In the second quarter both the Saints offense and defense stepped it up. Although the Saints didn't get a touchdown, the Colts didn't even score. The score going into halftime was Colts 10 and Saints 6.
I don't know about you, but for me the second half is kinda just a big blur. Not to many plays stand out until you get closer to the end of the game. The Saints had just scored a touchdown and were going for the 2 point conversion. Drew Brees threw the ball to his receiver who made an INSANE catch. He caught it but when he hit the ground he lost control. But, before he completely lost control, he grabbed the ball basically by his fingertips and stretched into the endzone for the successful 2 point conversion.
Now, Peyton and the colts had the ball. They were driving down the field. The couldn't be stopped by ANYONE on the Saints defense....except Pierre Thomas. Pierre basically put the nail in the coffin by intercepting a pass and returning it for a touchdown putting the Saints up by 2 touchdowns. Now, isn't it kinda funny how the man that everyone said was going to win the Superbowl for the Colts, actually lost it for them? I found it quite humorous myself hahaha.
The Saints and the Who Dat Nation finally got the Superbowl that they had been longing for and desperately needed.

UNC - Champs to Chumps :(
Back to the struggling UNC....poor guys. I mean, they went from having Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington to having 5 or 6 freshman that have to get significant playing time. SO, I guess when you think about it that way, their conference record is somewhat acceptable. But, after the past four years at least of success it is weird to have a year such as this. For the past four years Cameron Indoor Stadium (Duke's Home Court) has been owned by Hansbrough and the Tarheels. Now that he and the other 3 leading scorers from last years National Championship have moved on to the NBA, UNC has to rebuild. And, basically, that's what this year is. A rebuilding year. Now, once all of these freshman have a year under their belts UNC will be a force to reckon with, so watch out.
Now, as some of you may know, UNC travels down to Blacksburg this Thursday to take on the Hokies in an ACC match up. Although this is no approved of by the majority of my friends, I WILL be cheering for UNC this Thursday, and I WILL be wearing Carolina blue in the student section. Now, this may not b a good decision when it come to my physical well being, but I've got to stay loyal to my boys.
So, I'll leave you and that note and, of course, GO TARHEELS!!!!

The "Aints" are no more! Who Dat Nation rises to the occasion!
Now, this is just one of the many things that happened as a result of the game. The Vikings lost the game and because of that the "will he or won't he" talks have started for Brett Favre. He has retired multiple times and has comeback out of that retirement to play football. SO, now everyone is starting to talk about whether or not they feel Brett will return. Well, do you? Personally I figure he'll be back, AGAIN, and play some more football. The man is probably gonna play until he physically just can not do it anymore.
Now, the Superbowl. The 2 teams in the Superbowl are the 2 teams that went the majority of the season undefeated, Saint and Colts. The two teams were the favorites to win the Superbowl for the majority of the season mainly due to their explosive offensive potential. The Saints' lead by Drew Brees and Reggie Bush. These two players are by far 2 of the best and most explosive players playing the game. Their big play potential is one of the big reasons that the Saints are as big of a threat as the are. Another reason is their defense which is one of the best in the league at creating turnovers. If I remember correctly, they forced 6 fumbles in the NFC Championship and recovered 3 of them while also adding either 1 or 2 interceptions. When you put all of those things together, you have a Superbowl caliber team.
Now, what are your thoughts? Fee free to comment with your thoughts on the Superbowl!
